Bam Bam Wins at Australian Women’s World Qualifiers

Posted on

Bam Bam competed over the weekend at the Women’s qualifiers for the World Amateur Championships, in the 54kg division. The event, held in Perth, WA 11th – 13th March, had some great competition, but Bam Bam came out on top with unanimous decisions in both fights, against defending Australian 54kg champ, Vivian Ruiz Corredor, and in the finals against NSW’s Jasmeen Hudson. We could not have hoped for a better result, with Bam Bam now set to move forward to the Women’s World Amateur Boxing Championships in Kazakhstan coming up in May where she aims to take out gold. Congratulations Bam Bam! Featured here with her corner coach for the competition, Frank Burns from WA.
